The quilt is a folk art, appliqué quilt depicting the jungle animals from the storybook. There are two possible sizes to make, one for a crib and one for a twin size bed. Some quilting knowledge is helpful but this pattern offers a good opportunity to learn a variety of quilting techniques. Advanced quilters will have great enjoyment embellishing the pattern, as this is a basic quilt with loads of possibilities. The quilt can be stitched by machine or by hand, or a mix of both. It allows for use of fat quarters and remnants and has plenty of freedom for choice of colors.
